mplayerplug-in

Hello list,

I am using NetBSD, i don't have the root password, the network admin won't 
give me that and they won't install mplayerplug-in. I was trying to build 
myself mplayerplug-in from source. I got the source from 
mplayerplug-in.sourceforge.net. Tried to compile it and it went fine. Then 
when I tried make it stopped with a error, however when I edited the 
Makefile and changed make to gmake the make went fine too no errors. However 
when I copied the created files to ~/.mozilla/plugins firefox won't 
recognize that.

Can someone help please?
