non-pcm audio formats in SPDIF

Hi,

I'm trying to record an SPDIF audio input carrying non-pcm audio.

I was looking in the audio subsystem in NetBSD at it seems that the only
non-pcm formats supported are mpg-layer1 and layer2, isn't there any support
for AAC audio format.

Is NetBSD limited to mpeg-L1 and mpeg-L2 formats in SPDIF?
How can I record  the AAC audio embedded in the SPDIF signal.
