kde troubles

I just dont seem to have any idear how to install a desktop enviroment i hae
followed a few tutorials but the directorys where not there,I have basicly
installed netbsd and rebooted now im just puzzeld about getting a
desktop,Startx gives me a terminal and thats about it .
