current set by step xen howto?

hi folks,

is there a current current set by step xen howto?
I am running NetBSD 3.1 and would like to have a debian xen running on it as guest.

do I need to change my current netbsd kernel?
do I need to reboot my machine?
do I need to use grub to boot my "master" netbsd kernel?
