It turns out that there was a firewall rule stopping the access. I set
"log" as (what I thought) the default option to the block rules, but
it doesn't necessarily get applied to block rules further in the list
of rules. Sorry for the wasted bandwidth. Thanks, also, to Jim Lowden
for his assistance.
