monitoring CPU temperature and frequency

Hey mates!

I been trying to find a way to display the the cpu temperature and
frequency via Stumpwm's mode-line like Linux does.
looking through:  sysctl -a

I see nothing revelant unless I overlooked something.  I was just
wondering is there a way to monitor the CPU temperature and frequency.
