newfs fails in installation routine on -current

Hello!

Having cross-compiled a new -current acorn32 from i386 I
tried to install this system using an existing partition scheme.

Doing a newfs to all partitions it already fails on / with write error
on sector ... which I never encountered before.


Has anyone experienced something like this?
