Hmm. That would be nice and simple, and would have the advantage of meaning that the user's choices for RISC OS would Just Work in NetBSD. It's certainly better than forcing 8-bit mode. <FX: reads RISC OS 3 PRM> Ooh. Looks like there are several different ways that 16-bit sound can be done.
