It appears that UnixFS is badly broken with the newer ffs stuff.

UnixFS is Really Really useful, as it allows NetBSD to be booted from
/netbsd, and for files to be read from the RISC OS side. Without it, we
have no way on a standalone box to get a new kernel onto the RISC OS side
to boot it.

We don't have the source for UnixFS.

Does anybody have time to work on putting enough libsa code into a RISC OS
module to allow read-only access to a ffs partition?
