I tried to boot NetBSD on FreeAXP without success some time ago, always resulting in a processor machine check. NetBSD worked on the real hardware just fine that time, but it was not clear if NetBSD or FreeAXP (support was difficult to impossible to get unfortunately...) was to blame for the problem.
