Excellent news that the IDE->SATA adaptor avoids the issue!

It might be interesting to see if a true IDE device also works ("IDE
40 Pin Male to Female cables" for avoiding overlapping slots are
around £5 :)

It might also be interesting to see if the IDE->CF adapter has issues
on another non-amiga NetBSD system (e.g. on an old PC).

Either way it would be good to update (and re-open)

note that this happens with CF cards in an adaptor, so anyone
interested has more information. Iff anyone does come along to look at
