With regard to "UEFI firmware" I went to 
https://github.com/pftf/RPi4/releases and unzipped a file called 
RPi4_UEFI_Firmware_v1.38.zip in the /boot partition.

That has 4 files like firmware/brcm/brcmfmac43455-sdio*
