As if CUPL wasn’t bad enough on its own, it’s C-preprocessor-preprocessed CUPL??  NEAT.  **cleans up eye bleed**

(…and way more complex than a PAL; the Mach 231 is/was a 64 macrocell CPLD from Lattice roughly equivalent to the Atmel ATF1504 that’s still available today.)
