Guys, This Q is rather off topic. I got my hands on CATS and have troubles to boot Linux kernel installed on HD. Does anyone out there have succesful experience to boot the Debian 2.2 kernel off with it? The system has delivered with NetBSD 1.5_ALPHA preinstalled. It seems to work fine. We spent many hours to start Linux installation process. We managed to run LINUX installer well. We rebooted CATS and found cyclone CATS ROM monitor 0.6 failed to boot so. It complains 'the file requested is not secure' refusing to proceed. The message does not make sense to us. It's not clear that CATS ROM monitor can recognize PC-style "upto 4 distinct slices in a single HD." Apparently it does for BSD tahoe disklabel and FFS. The ROM monitor should do as well for PC-style slice and EXT2FS combination if it claims Linux/ARM support. I'm wondering we failed to see clear answer. Our possible solution is to do TFTPBOOT vmlinuz with "load-then-call" sequence to run the diskful configuration. Any help welcome. Toru Nishimura/ALKYL Technology
