Qube2 Ram Question

This might seem odd, but I know someone on this list will be able to help.

I have a qube2 with 128mb of ram. I just purchased another 128mb from a reputable source, supposedly taken from and tested with a Qube2. When I install the ram in my Qube2, the system will not boot. 

I am sure I read that the qube2 can take 256mb of ram but can anyone confirm?

I am guessing the memory is faulty, and will have to send it back.
