Hey Andy, I asked this question a ways back. Here's what I know about GC and NetBSD. It should be possible. There are a few kits out there that let you boot from a special memory card (it has a USB port). I've also read that the PPC inside the GC (Gekko) is pretty standard in terms of being compatible with other PPC chips of that generation. The person in that article said that most things compiled for PPC should compile on the gekko. Of course drivers are another issue. There's the GClinux way of doing things - use the PSO error exploit to boot. I haven't tried this yet. The kit I mentioned is called the Max Drive Pro from Codejunkies http://us.codejunkies.com This prolly wasn't too helpful, and admittedly OT, so if you want to continue, email me directly. -Andy On Wed, 19 Jan 2005, Andy Ruhl wrote: > I don't know the right place to ask this, so I'll ask it here. > > There is a way to boot code on a GameCube now with no modifications to > the box.
