Hi. I'm trying to netboot a Series 400 I was given. I'm not quite sure if it's a 400t or 433t since the serial number seems to suggest the former while NetBSD claims the latter. Anyway, I've gotten so far as getting SYS_UBOOT up through rbootd (my server is NetBSD/i386). rarpd is also running and in debug mode, but doesn't seem to get any traffic, so there it stops. Serial console output is: .-------- -- - | | Self-Test Mode | Copyright 1990, | Hewlett-Packard Company. | All Rights Reserved. | | BOOTROM Rev. 2.0 29 NOV 90 | MD11 REV 1.95 1990/12/12.14:35:26 | MC68040 Processor | Configuration EEPROM | Utility Chip at 41 | HP-HIL | RESET To Restart | Self-Test Mode | HP-IB | DMA-C0 | Self-Test Mode | RAM 16776900 Bytes | HP98644 (RS-232) at 9 | HP98265 (SCSI S 32) at 14 | HP98643 (LAN) at 21, THIN, 080009150E82 | HP PARALLEL at 23 | Bit Mapped Video at 133 (Console) | System Search Mode | :LAN, 21, 0040051F0495 noname | 1Z SYS_UBOOT | | Booting System | | | >> NetBSD/hp300 Primary Boot, Revision 1.13 | >> ([email protected], Sun Sep 8 16:27:32 UTC 2002) | >> HP 9000/433t SPU | >> Enter "reset" to reset system. | Boot: [[[le0a:]netbsd][-a][-c][-d][-s][-v][-q]] :- | WARNING: bad date in battery clock | `-------- -- - It waits a bit at the Boot: prompt, and then prints the warning and hangs indefinitely. Hm. After writing the above, I tried with OpenBSD's SYS_UBOOT, and that does go further. Seems NetBSD's version is buggy. Consider this a bug report then. ;) -- Stian Sletner
