I'm not sure, anything added to md_update() is likely to be wrong at some
point.  Especially if the sysinst code is used to install a different
version of netbsd.

I think that sysinst needs to run a script (cf postinstall and etcupdate)
that has been installed onto the target system in order to do certain
sorts of operations.
