followup: problem booting 712 (-current)

hi again,

i just tried to boot with a partitioned HD -- same error.

please mail me if you need further information for troubleshooting.

it's a 712/80 King Gecko with 128MByte RAM, an additional RS232 port (on
an extension card, i already tried w/o -- no difference) and VRAM stick.
