nick-csl-alignment merged

Hi,

I've just completed merging the nick-csl-alignment branch to HEAD.

The only port visibly affected by this branch is port-hp700 where backward 
compatibility for libpthread has been lost due to the size change of 
__cpu_simple_lock_t.

Importantly, however, the merge fixes the hppa ldcw alignment restrictions 
and, therefore, locks will work reliably now.

If anyone experiences a problem due to this merge please send-pr(1).
