The DEC/HP/Compaq PDAs had good documentation as part of their open source handhelds.org project, no idea if enough is known about the Dell ones to do a port. We could easily do a port to the initial iPaq models that replaced WinCE in flash with NetBSD, I have the changes to the bootloader to allow it to boot NetBSD as well as Linux. The issue at the time was that we didn't have a flash filesystem. Robert Swindells
