I'm not using arlo at all --- I'm using a custom os.img file that the
netbook's firmware automatically boots on startup. I'm using a mostly
off-the-shelf kernel and a userland from the collie OpenZaurus system (which
provides nice package management at a fraction of the size of Debian, which
would be my other choice). This is all living on a 1GB CF card.
