I have a Jornada 680 with 16MB ram and a HP620LX with 32MB ram. Both of them have problems with the install kernel with embedded miniroot from 3.0. The 680 booted first time without any troubles, but didn't succeed on next try. The 620 has not yet succeeded with a single boot on that kernel. On the 680 I get a blank screen with the text: Booting WARM Exception Event Code = 40 TLB Miss/Invalid (load) and then back to winCE. On the 620 I get: Warm Boot Exception Event Code = E0 Address Error (load) and back to winCE. What I really wanted was booting a -current install kernel, but I haven't succeeded on neither of the boxen. The -current install kernel was built from source updated today. The reason I wanted to use a -current install kernel is that I couldn't disklabel(8) my cf on the first attempt using the 3.0 install kernel, or rather it's embedded miniroot. I noticed that disklabel seemed to have changed a lot recently, and I also missed mbrlabel(8), which I planned to try to add to the miniroot. -- Christer O. Andersson Odensbacken
