Booting USB Flash

Hello,

    Over the weekend I tried booting my i386 test rig (VIA EPIA M10000
board, 1 GHz C3 "Nehemiah") from USB flash drives with the install
images for NetBSD/i386 7.2 and 8.0.  Neither worked.  The machine was
able to boot from an i386 Linux drive.  Is there a known issue with
bootability or does my machine dislike something about our install
images?
