My apologies, I read the thread too fast and didn't notice Izumi
mentioning the non-existence of a soft-float variant, and suggesting
it as an alternative.

Related question: in the current NetBSD userland, is the default FPU
the '881/'882 (so using the plethora of instructions available in them
and needing the FPSP on the '040), or is it only the '040 subset of
instructions?
