The machine which runs qemu can be used to cross compile, no? NetBSD's
source tree can be used to cross compile NetBSD from macOS, from Linux,
from other BSDs... I sometimes use my Arm Mac with macOS, and it works
fine.

A graphite Mac should still be able to do it a good hundred times faster
than on a Mac with an '030.
