Running with MAKE_JOBS=1 gets much further building "qt5-base", but eventually a really gargantuan compile (qxkbcommon.cpp) runs it out of memory with most of swap still available. At this point the machine is completely unresponsive. I seem to recall that its not possible to put more than 1GB RAM in a 667MHz TiBook. I have an original G4-gigabit-ethernet with 2GB RAM, but it has a bad power supply (actually just the 27Vdc daughter card to supply power through the ADC video card, but without that, the machine won't turn on at all). -- |/"\ John D.
