Since you did not provide details, I am guessing:

product LINKSYS2 IWN3           0x1613 Instant Wireless Network PC Card, Versin 3

... which is still supported (by wi(4)) in netbsd-9.

Without more details (e.g. the output of the "dmesg" command from the
netbsd-9 boot) we can not really help here. Maybe the pcmcia adapter
has not been recognized? So the problem would not be the wifi card, but
any PC card would not work. Do you have any others to try? After booting
the -9 installer and exiting to a shell, does the machine show any messages
if you unplug or plug a PC card?
