[snip] Completely randomly, but I've seen old stuff fail because caps go sort-of-short (and light up on a thermal camera.) The PSU may be able to keep up on its output side but the localised voltage at components is not in spec. If you're comfortable, maybe spot check the power rails closer to RAM and other logic? (and yeah, you'll want an oscilloscope to check for really terrible ripple..) -a
