It should have.

Boot the ramdisk kernel over the network, and try:

	# mount /dev/sd0a /mnt
	# mount /dev/sd0d /mnt/usr  <-- assumes /usr is on sd0d
	# cp /mnt/usr/mdec/bootsd /mnt/.bootsd
	# installboot /mnt/.bootsd /bootxx /dev/rsd0a
	# umount /mnt/usr
	# umount /mnt

Reboot, and try again to boot from disk. Note that you may need to tweak
the /dev/sd0d to be wherever your /usr partition was created.

Let me know if this fails to work, and I'll try to reproduce it here.
