I'm looking for anyone who has a Motorola, or other machine with PPCBUG firmware to test boot the following kernel and send the complete output t= o me. I am hoping to improve support for these machines, and if your machine ca= n boot the image and produces viable output, it should be supportable under NetBSD/prep. http://www.garbled.net/tmp/prep-residual-boot.fs I am especially interested in any MVME160x machines, or MPC82xx machines.= I also suspect that the image will work on a Motorola Powerstack II with pp= cbug.=20 This image will not work on boards with DINK32 or OpenFirmWorks (unless t= hey also have PPCBUG, in which case you need to boot the image from PPCBUG) The image is a complete netboot image, kernel and all in one file. You s= hould be able to netboot it directly. I use the following line in /etc/bootpta= b to netboot these images: botien:\ :sm=3D255.255.255.0:ht=3Dethernet:ha=3D000629ba4bf0:\ :gw=3D192.168.10.11:ip=3D192.168.10.29:bf=3Dboot.fs:rp=3D/usr/src/distri= b (just place the image in /tftpboot/boot.fs, and enable bootpd and tftpd i= n inetd.conf) --- Tim Rightnour <[email protected]> NetBSD: Free multi-architecture OS http://www.netbsd.org/ Genecys: Open Source 3D MMORPG: http://www.genecys.org/
