There is a report that next68k kernel panics during early boot.

I've built and put a new kernel:
ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/tsutsui/next68k/netbsd-6_20131027/

 netbsd-next68k-GENERIC-6.1_STABLE-20131027.gz
-> netbsd-6 kernel with moved physmem calculation

 next68k-pmap_bootstrap.c.diff
-> diff against netbsd-6 tree (can be applied to head)

Hope this helps.
