could be slower (or less) core, slower disks, etc.. 
the DS5k/133 has a very slow scsi bus, too.. 
I might try it on a 5k260 I have more or less idle.. just to see
how the (slightly) better memory gear on the 5k2x0s handles it.

though for true torture, try building -current on a microvax II :-)
