Wow, that was posted a while ago. :P I tried it with and without pretty much every target and configuration option, and nothing worked. I figured out the cause of the problem, though - it was qxemul causing the problem. Had to dig down and see that awk was actually not evaluating things properly (and no, it was not the binary version, as I tried it later and it worked OK). I built it natively on the MobilePro and everything went OK (granted, at a very slow speed).
