PowerPC (macppc) et al vs "fenv.h"?

It seems "ffmpeg2" (2.8.3) now expects a working "fenv.h", while a
previous version (2.8) did not. This is not currently supported on
PowerPC (and some other architectures), so trying to configure "ffmpeg2"
from pkgsrc-HEAD (to become 2015Q4) loads "fenv.h" and exits with an
error.

Is this a complete showstopper for ffmpeg2 on the affected architectures
or is there a way around it?
