It needs wscons, support for mapping PCI BARs via /dev/ttyE0 and might need a way to access PCI IO - on macppc it just maps a certain range via /dev/ttyE0 which the underlying wsdisplay drivers redirect to wherever the corresponding host bridge keeps PCI IO addresses. At least if you use ppc_video.c in X. Some drivers ( like those for mach64 and radeon devices ) don't need IO access, no idea about S3 though. have fun Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.4 (Darwin) iQEVAwUBRjOL/spnzkX8Yg2nAQLlcggAtkvG+SfntAwBq4LEY1mQJcAheHTbUqZ4 /72CbmgXSui3vzolA7lq2M2dHh/z7jaWVrMvN+cS+/TIrkS7HSURqDLkqJxxyg25 8Rewvo5J0lX9vySGKNtO8tG2mh2hY6YdfC+8HQvTv0c4nn1X9Abd6TRCJ+naVeGj s8+uI0pBvdFJYPrdn1IXjbf7qINs2GKMM6RY4+EYdxetiibkeH7Ym5pP7y147kBl mFI386d3iZD9ypw0IKDcAnBJ21lBclaNfMTszlmx28l2hVjjYtUHQ3QFGeDJ9frs n8auJaXrP/smjBIDOuTs5HwtpHizkFuHKovgr2LCU2rU08abLQe3eg== =JtFN -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
