Hello. Finally here is the result of booting file taken from message To: port-prep%netbsd.org@localhost Subject: Re: NetBSD ported to the IBM MCA RS/6000 model 7006 From: Karl Dietz <dekarl%web.de@localhost> Date: Tue, 15 Jan 2008 01:14:03 +0100 The machine is 7011-250 with 32 mb of ram, no video card, two frame relay cards (not connected to the network), runs AIX 4.3.3 fine When netbooting I got the following IPLCB ptr = 0x0x4fd0000 Machine model = 0x8010046 RAM = 0x20 p=0x80b680 start 0x800000 edata 0x808fb0 end 0x80b680 ladr 800000 Found magic at 0xde0, kernel is size 0x14a25c >> NetBSD/rs6000 BOOT, Revision 1.1 >> ([email protected], Mon Dec 17 12:51:36 MST 2007) Boot: Loading in() |2477848+204140 [158896+150412]=0x2da88c start=0x100000 About to run 123 NetBSD/rs6000 booting ... bi addr= 0x3e0ee8 i=0 ssize=70 bi addr= 0x3e0ee8 i=1 ssize=70 bi addr= 0x3e0ee8 i=2 ssize=70 bi addr= 0x3e0ee8 i=3 ssize=70 bi addr= 0x3e0ee8 i=4 ssize=70 found 5 bucs BUC type: 2 BUC cfg incr: 0 BUC devid reg: ffffffff BUC iocc?= 0 BUC location= 30303030 BUC type: 3 BUC cfg incr: 0 BUC devid reg: ffffffff BUC iocc?= 0 BUC location= 30303030 BUC type: 3 BUC cfg incr: 0 BUC devid reg: ffffffff BUC iocc?= 0 BUC location= 30303030 BUC type: 3 BUC cfg incr: 0 BUC devid reg: ffffffff BUC iocc?= 0 BUC location= 30303030 BUC type: 3 BUC cfg incr: 0 BUC devid reg: ffffffff BUC iocc?= 0 BUC location= 30303030 sysinfo scr_addr 0xff200000 -> f0 Loaded initial symtab at 0x38ec84, strtab at 0x3b5d00, # entries 9377 trap: pid 0.1 (system): kernel MCHK trap @ 0x266be0 (SRR1=0x1030) panic: trap Stopped in pid 0.1 (system) at netbsd:cpu_Debugger+0x10: lwz r0, r1, 0x14 db> show trace 0x003e0cc0: at panic+0x1b4 0x003e0d10: at trap+0x100 0x003e0da0: kernel MCHK trap by initmsgbuf+0x4c: srr1=0x1030 r1=0x3e0e60 cr=0x2282f444 xer=0x20000000 ctr=0 mq=0 0x003e0e60: at _prop_dictionary_keysym32_pool+0xffc71470 0x003e0e80: at oea_startup+0x58 0x003e0ed0: at cpu_startup+0x1c 0x003e0ee0: at main+0x78 0x003e0f30: at 0x1000f0 db> show registers r0 0x26cdd4 panic+0x1b8 r1 0x3e0cb0 _prop_dictionary_keysym32_pool+0x52124 r2 0x35aaa0 cpu_info r3 0x35aaa0 cpu_info r4 0xc0000030 r5 0 r6 0xd r7 0x3e0c78 _prop_dictionary_keysym32_pool+0x520ec r8 0x80 r9 0x360000 iplcrc+0x268 r10 0 r11 0x360000 iplcrc+0x268 r12 0x20001044 r13 0 r14 0x8f98 r15 0x3 r16 0x4fd1b74 r17 0x4fcfc00 r18 0x8ef5 r19 0x4fffe08 r20 0x8ef4 r21 0x4fd0338 r22 0x4fd0000 r23 0x8fc8 r24 0x2 r25 0x360000 iplcrc+0x268 r26 0x357e50 proc0 r27 0x3dd000 _prop_dictionary_keysym32_pool+0x4e474 r28 0x360000 iplcrc+0x268 r29 0x360000 iplcrc+0x268 r30 0x331274 null_vnodeop_entries+0xd0 r31 0x100 iar 0x2fe2b8 cpu_Debugger+0x10 msr 0x1030 lr 0x2fe2b8 cpu_Debugger+0x10 ctr 0x30b304 cnflush cr 0x40001042 xer 0x20000000 mq 0 netbsd:cpu_Debugger+0x10: lwz r0, r1, 0x14 db> show callout hardclock_ticks now: 0 ticks wheel arg func 2083603110 -49/-12760 93a10118 _prop_dictionary_keysym32_pool trap: kernel read DSI trap @ 0x7c6802ae by 0x25a39c (DSISR 0x40000000, err=14), lr 0x25a38c panic: trap Faulted in DDB; continuing... db> show map MAP 0x375338: [0xd0000000->0xf0000000] #ent=6, sz=51322880, ref=1, version=9, flags=0x1 pmap=0x38df20(resident=30, wired=30) db> reboot The operating system has halted. Please press any key to reboot. rebooting... How could I help at least fix the panic? Actually I'm more interested in PPC601 code in the kernel than in MCA part. I have tried to boot NetBSD on Powermac 7200 and run into some PPC601 related issues. Yet I have 8 rs/6000 MCA machines that definitely deserve somethig to run
