You're using rather old USB adaptor.  There are two variations in the way how
disk and CD-ROM emulated on USB.  One is ATAPI bus emulation and another
is SCSI bus emulation.  The former products were short lived.  Modern USB
adaptors are quite likely to behave SCSI emulation.  (DK23EA seems equally
legacy...)

iwi(4) WLAN trouble is worrysome.  So far sandpoint NAS has rarely tested
with PCI WLAN (more concern on USB WLAN).  Let's have more time to
analyse the issue.
