mec and resets

Hi,

I think I've isolated the root of my constant resets. As Michael  
pointed out, it is mec. And I would say it should be in mec_txintr()  
or something like that, because it only happens with writes.

This reproduces the problem for me, either instantly or in a couple  
of attempts:

scp base.tgz user@machine-on-lan:/tmp

The attempts that didn't crash were displaying the 'crime: cpu error  
4' message.

If you can't reproduce it, I'm available to do any tests.

Any hint?
