And it works fine with 

#define SGIMIPS_BUS_SPACE_IP6_DPCLOCK   6

in sys/arch/sgimips/include/bus.h

I don't have IP6, but will try to find files where SGIMIPS_BUS_SPACE_IP6_DPCLOCK define is used ....
