I have the same problem on my R5000 O2 but there are some additional
messages:

warning: no /dev/console
pid 1(init): ABI set to O32 (e_flags=0x1007)
crime: cpu error 4 at address 4294901744
crime: cpu error 4 at address 4294901744
[dies here]

That's a current kernel.
5.1RC1 kernel netboots OK.

I have some spare time, do we know ~when this regression occurred?
