The driver in 5.0 can't configure itself ( I only found out how to do that with non-PCI drivers much later ) - take a generic xorg.conf, contents of Monitor sections and video modes don't matter since the driver will use whatever the firmware sets up, only in 32bit colour. Replace the driver name in the Device section with 'crime'. That's it. This will work only with NetBSD's default xorg in /usr/X11R7, pkgsrc xorg doesn't have the crime driver. >> PS: my installation always drops into single user mode first on >> startup. I /think/ at least some ARCS versions will automatically set it if you boot automatically or by clicking the Startup icon on the firmware boot screen. have fun Michael -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.7 (Darwin) iQEVAwUBS/nM+8pnzkX8Yg2nAQKQSgf9FPcuCiycCXSmCEX99nToDqya6raCGmGc 6spdY1uzTzJDXZeYno2FOxos6RySJm3CytJTr/ktm389bObcy+4//C3ckDniAgLB ulQujT3LzJ5VJRTSIIzULriSZxClVbJY0zsw3Y3bUiiH/2U7jjrZ4+ZC5cYgX7zv EnweQ5gYxSshCZys0kQsqEeOeOSunZ1OEKswr/3DQDjpgS18N1lM0gddBM410O0j c1jufWe/GZOazlIhtlpA7j9ZsQGLA9cPfHBdlZ5X8UeSvRFsr1zV+eRZu3twCAsh flVtufABrRBbEoBeIrsTVEI1B2mPRMiY/zugwiSKcontq6UYoEdR4g== =3Jpz -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
