Serial connection works fine at 9600 baud rate (tested: Netra X1, Blade 100). I also tried to force it to boot from a Solaris 10 CD, by unplugging the 2 hard-drives, but still have no console output (tried on SER MGMT and SER TTYB), and still can't get to an ok prompt. I do not even see the spinning slash while it presumably boots the HDD/CD (just a ALOM notification saying that the host system has started). > It's been many (!!) years since I laid hands on SunFire kit, maybe > this reference will be useful for basic stuff: > > https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19088-01/v215.srvr/ Thank you for this! > If I were really stuck, I might try creating a sysdisk offline, replacing > the current (presumably Solaris) disk so you can at least access the > system that way. Maybe save the Solaris disk for later "surgery". I may try, but since booting from CD didn't work (though I can't be 100% sure it actually booted from CD) I fear that this won't either. Regards, Paolo
