Thanks for the nudge.  It's actually not clear to me from the original
wording

whether the SS2 is the machine the card now is in or the machine the
card used to be in "more than a decade ago".

It's been even longer since I had an SS2 open, but I think it doesn't
have the whitish nylon latches; I think I haven't seen them except in
machines with SBus slots stacked above one another (as the slots on the
10 and 20 are, but the slots on the 2 aren't).
