I've got a SS20, I think it is, in a steel case which I suspect was a
turnkey appliance of some sort.  It looks as though its vendor just
bought a SS20 and transplanted the board.  (Part of the case of mine is
missing, and it's in storage rather than here so I can't check right
now to see if there are vendor markings on the part I've got.)

As for rarity, yeah.  I suspect such things are rarer than their Sun
originals - they sure are in my experience.  So, except for people who
actually worked with/on them and such....
