Hi,

The 3114 is a bit unlike most pciide(4)-like hardware.  The 3112 is
more pciide(4)-like and thus more likely to work with this magic
spell than the 3114.  My experience has only been with a pdcide(4)
however.

That OpenFirmware spell goes into NVRAM, it sticks.
