There are no virtio drivers in the sparc64 GENERIC kernel.

Probably the same as on x86. You need to build a kernel with:

virtio*   at pci? dev ? function ?   # Virtio PCI device
viomb*    at virtio?                 # Virtio memory balloon device
ld*       at virtio?                 # Virtio disk device
vioif*    at virtio?                 # Virtio network device
viornd*   at virtio?                 # Virtio entropy d

But I haven't tried on sparc64.
