Problem booting 7.0.2 iso on SunBlade 1500

I tried booting the 7.0.2 install CD on a SunBlade 1500 and the kernel
booted, but it eventually got an error similar to "can't read from
cdrom" before the installer was loaded.

I tried a FreeBSD 11 disk and it booted into the installer.

Is there some firmware setup I might have missed? I just typed "boot
cdrom" at the ok prompt.
