Hi Michael,

i have already verified, that the problem is with the NetBSD kernel only.

Both Solaris and Linux sparc64 work just fine on the Ultra 10 and
CRD-8322B drive.
The CRD-8322B drive is from 1999 and seems to be the stock drive,
which made me wondering why there are not more problem reports.

I replaced the drive with a newer one for the installation of NetBSD
and my Ultra 10 is up and running now.
But of course i'd rather use the original drive again.
