Hi, > Reviving this old thread, I have a U45 that I was trying and failing to bring up NetBSD on a while ago. I can build and netboot -current and let you know how it goes sometime over the next week. I'd definitely be interested to know how it goes. I've been netbooting mine to test out various changes without any problems. As long as you have all the services running on the netboot server, it should work. From other threads, the OFW can't handle > 4GB (or 2GB) when reading the bootloader, so for disk booting, you need a smaller root partition. Larger might or might not work depending on where the files end up, so is a bit risky. -current has all the changes for the U45 (and U25) apart from the driver for the env-monitor. This has a lot of monitoring information for the V215/V245, but I only found the front panel temperature on the U45 (the other sensors we already have). If you want to try that as well: https://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD/misc/jdc/sparc64/envmon_ebus.diff Still a work in progress but I hope to commit it soon [*]. Thanks and regards, Julian [*] I'll be away for a few weeks, so it will be after I get back. --
